As the sun sets on this third trip to Edinburgh, we are leaving a place that has become like a second home. So much of what we experienced here quite suited us. The genuine warmth of the people (several of whom we have befriended). The active hill walking lifestyle (hikers' paradise). The extensive public bus and train system (life without a car). The stunningly beautiful and diverse scenery (historic architecture, beaches, mountains, bogs, heather, landscapes, vistas). The convenience (most everything nearby our neighborhood). The history (and architecture, art, music, culture). The convenience (of city living with everything nearby).
We look forward to our next sunrise in Edinburgh.
